On this third day there are two passes, the Ausangate pass of 4870m, then deep down to the Ausangate lake, and up to the Palomani pass of 5200m, and down again.
This picture shows all, taken from the Ausangate pass, you can see down the Ausangate Lake and behind the morene the path up to the Palomino pass. I have done this in very different conditions, bright weather and snow storm as well. It is a long day and streneous to a high level, especially the last meters to the Palomino pass take a heavy toll on your body.
