One of the must-do’s in Guilin is the evening trip on a boat on the Yang Sho River. The light of the sunset on the green and yellow mountains is quite beautiful. Whe I was there in 2007 the boat trip was a government monopoly, but as soon as the official went to have dinner, all kinds of small private boats went out with visitors to show the beauty, and later on with darkness the comorant fishing.
