Description
Title: The New Cerro Rico
Imagine, you are an astronaut-scout in search of new habitable planets, and in a distant solar system you see this from the window of your space craft. What would your feelings be? This and the following photos are experiments in landscaping, made in the Valleikanaal near Woudenberg NL just below one of the barrages in the canal where there is maximum turbulence in the water. The photos are taken with backlight against the reflection of the sun on the water. Some of these pictures have a sort of outer space feeling, or seem like landscapes you fly over from great height. I have given them titles, but don’t let you be steered by them. I put the pictures up because I like them, they stir up some feeling of not-belonging, the utter otherness. In this picture the golden colour stands out; it looks like a landscape with golden mountains.
