Title: Condor in Colca Canyon, Peru

Colca Canyon is a deep canyon, deeper than the Grand Canyon in the USA, at about 4500m, near Chivas in Peru. At Cruz del Condor is a point where in the morning the condors can be seen, flying out. This is a long process that can take over an hour, because the updraft of the air  must support them to get high enough out of the canyon. It is very moving to see sometimes more then ten of these birds swirling around, gaining hight till at at time they are all gone in a wink. Condors are among the biggest birds of the planet, their wingspan can go up to almost three metres.
