STORY: Around Ausangate

14 of 31 : The Valley

At the end of the third day you will arrive at a small cottage, no doors or windows, but this is also a cold spot and the cook uses it as his kitchen and we as refectory. The slopes are huge here and in the morning the mist is not yet gone. Of the four times I came here it was coincidentally three times on my birthday that we stayed here. We always stayed here for 2 two nights. Not only for a deserved rest, because it is a long day before, and the next day will be even a longer walk, but also to do extensive ceremonies at the foot of the mountain.
