Around the corner you will find this lake. The paqos tell the story that the last Inkas fleeing the Spanish conquistadores came here and asked the Apu Ausangate to help them, because they had lost battle after battle and were at the end of their resources. The Apu Ausangate told them to wait till the next morning. Then the lake turned itself upside down and all the Spanish solders were taken into the lower world.
