Title: Pagoda, Samye Monastery, Tibet

Samye is the oldest monastery in Tibet, and according to legend founded by the Buddhist saint Padmasambhava, who brought Buddism to Tibet.
It lies near the Yarlung river that forms the border between the Indian continent and the Tibetan high plateau. The monastery is surrounded by a high white wall of several kilometers lenght. Around the main temple several pagodas are found. Here is one of them in infrared.
