Description
Title: Inka Creed
The Inka creed is: Ama Sua, Ama Q’ella, Ama Llulla, which means: don’t be a thief, don’t be lazy, don’t lie or gossip. Here they are painted on glass in a small chapel near Pisaq. As you can see, this creed is connected, or the suggestion is that it is ascribed to Jesus, the figure painted below. But this Jesus has a chakana around his neck, the Inka symbol of the three worlds, the upper world (Hanaq Pacha) or heaven, this world (Kay Pacha), and the world below (Ukhu Pacha). You can see that syncretism is not far.
